Lawn Maintenance

Lawn/Turf Maintenance: The lawn-mowing program will commence in the middle of April and run through November. The lawn areas will be cut every seven to ten days, or as needed. Lawn clippings will not be collected and disposed of, unless unsightly and can be mulched into lawn area. With each cutting, upright objects that were missed will be string – trimmed. All sidewalks, parking spaces, and porches will be blown as clean once the cutting has been completed. Before every cut the grounds will be policed for any debris and disposed of. On average, there are 29 cuts per season. This number is used to assist in calculating a cost per season.

Weed Control for Landscape Beds: All landscape beds will be treated twice a month with a non-selective herbicide (Roundup) and hand weeded to prevent weeds, grass, and other unsightly growth. In the spring all mulch beds will be treated with a pre-emergent snapshot.

Fertilization: In the spring when soil temperatures are above 55 fertilizers with crabgrass control will be applied. At the end of April/early May, a Fertilizer with broadleaf weed control is applied. Midsummer, no later than end of July, a Grub control with fertilizer will be applied at manufactures recommended rate. Later summer/early fall a fertilizer and spot treat weed control will be applied to eliminate any weeds miss in earlier in the year. Last step is a Winterize plus fertilizer that will be applied at the manufactures recommended rate in November.

Pruning/Trimming: Pruning will be done twice a year because not all plants can be pruned at the same time of the year and not all plants will be done twice a year. Also, each plant will require a different type of pruning technique because not all plants can just be sheared. Some will have to be hand pruned, sheared, or lobed. By giving each plant the proper care, it will help with healthier growth, and prevent disease.

Edging and Mulch: In the spring, all tree circles and previously mulched beds will be edged. Triple Shredded dyed mulch will be applied to maintain a two-inch thickness.

Core Aeration: Core aeration completed in Late Summer/Fall

Spring Clean-up: Removal of all unsightly debris from the winter season to include all mulch beds, common areas, parking spaces, patio areas etc. (All Debris will be removed from property)

Fall Clean up: Removal of all unsightly debris from the fall season to include all leaves from mulch beds, common areas, etc. (All Debris will be removed from property)
